If you’re looking for inspiration for your self build project and want a live case study to provide some real life advice, come along to our presentation at the National Self Build & Renovation Winter Show on Friday 31 January or Saturday 1 February.
We’ll take you through the self build process through the eyes of one of our inspirational clients, Frank and Pauline Mace. Having started their self build journey in 2017, the couple are on track to complete their high-spec and incredibly cost effective dream home this spring, and are happy to share their experiences.
Through their diligent research, careful planning and our expertise, they’re well on their way to completing their ideal home, with all the latest technology in energy efficiency and thermal performance levels.
At the presentation, you will also hear from some of the other partners from the NSBRC that were involved – David Hilton & Earth Save Products.
Thanks to the timber frame, insulation and latest technology – including a 10kw PV array – the house has a U-value of 0.10, and EPC rating of A at a value of 106. It has also achieved air tightness of 1, which is within Passive House limits.
Simon Orrells, Managing Director of Frame Technologies says:
“The NSBRC Show is a brilliant place to get some inspiration, meet suppliers and ask questions. This is the first time we’ve presented a live case study at the event, and we can’t wait to showcase Frank and Pauline’s project. What they’re in the process of achieving is absolutely amazing. They’re making the eco-friendly home that they really wanted, without blowing their budget or sacrificing on style – and they’ve done most of it themselves! They’ll be on hand to answer your questions, and I’m sure you’ll come away from hearing their story feeling revved up and ready to build.”
To learn more about how you can apply their findings to your own project, come to our live case study presentation at The Build It Theatre on Friday 31 January from 13.00 – 14.00 and Saturday 1 February from 11.20 – 12.20.
